Beer at the Winchester Gate

 

Landlord and landlady Bill and Anne Duncan receive the Pub Of The Year award for 2010 from the local branch of CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale

The Winchester Gate’s landlord Bill Duncan is a great fan of traditional real ale. There are usually four ales to choose from, of which three change regularly. The fourth, regular, beer is Crop Circle from our local brewers, the Hop Back Brewery. The pub also hosts regular beer and cider festivals. Thanks to the variety and consistent quality of the beers, the pub has more than once been voted “Pub Of The Year” by the local branch of CAMRA – the Campaign for Real Ale.
