Ruth Butler

A view from Greencroft with St Edmund’s in the background, painted by Richard G E Butler in 1951. Richard studied art at Salisbury Art School in 1948 & went on to be an art teacher and lecturer in graphic design. He did his teaching practise at Bishop Wordsworth. The Butler family lived in Tidworth from the late 1930s before moving to Salisbury in 1951.
